Angelina County, TX- July 5 at approximately 7 p.m., Angelina County DPS conducted a traffic stop on a 1984 Jeep on SH 103 west for a traffic violation. The driver was identified as Robert Wayne Adams, 35, from Pollok, TX. The trooper reportedly observed multiple signs of intoxication. Adams performed poorly on the standardized field sobriety tests and was taken into custody for Driving While Intoxicated with Child Passenger due to having a five year old unrestrained child in the vehicle at the time of the stop. The child was released to family member. Adams was transported to the Angelina County Jail and charged with DWI w/Child and released to the jail.
