Center Cheer Camp

The first week of June, the Center High School cheerleaders traveled to
Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, TX to attend their annual cheer camp. The
girls earned several awards and accolades for various performances and
evaluations throughout camp and had an awesome time!

The varsity squad earned gold superior ribbons at every evaluation, and
for their home pom routine! In addition to those three ribbons, they
received two spirit sticks! CHS Varsity also competed against other medium
sized varsity squads on the last day of camp. They received 1st Place in
Cheer, 2nd Place in Extreme Routine Dance, and 2nd Place Game Day Routine.
We also had eight cheerleaders try out for All-American Cheerleader, and
ALL of them made it! Our All-American Cheerleaders are (Seniors) Madeline
Myers, Madison Agnew, (Juniors) Taylor Amburn, Hailey Haddox, Lexi Moody,
Madison McMillian, (Sophomores) Malasia Cartwright, and Esther Mergerson.

The JV squad received a gold evaluation ribbon each day, and competed with
the varsity squad in the home pom to receive another gold superior ribbon!
In addition to their superior ribbons, they also received two spirit
sticks! The last day of camp they competed against other JV squads and
received 2nd Place in the Cheer, and 3rd Place for the Extreme Routine
Dance. In addition to the competitions and evaluations, Kelsey Adair
(Freshman) was our JV Jump Queen, and she made All-American Cheerleader!

Diana Mora, A.K.A. Rowdy the Roughrider, received a spirit stick each day
of camp, and five gold superior ribbons for evaluations, and skits. She
also brought home the trophy for Camp Champ!

Congratulations to all of these young ladies for their hard work and
dedication! We are very excited to see what else the school year brings us.
