As we approach Memorial Day, Monday, May 30th, 2016 this reminder: The US
Flag and any other flags flying with it should be lowered to half-staff at
sunrise and be raised at noon on Memorial Day. If you have no one to lower
your flag at sunrise it is better to have it lowered the night before than
not at all. In any case all flags should be raised at noon.
If you have a United States Flag that cannot be lowered, respect for the day
can still be shown by tying a black ribbon or cord at the top of the staff.
It should also be removed at noon.
