Food & Nutrition Contests Official Results
 
The District Five 4-H Round-up and Food & Nutrition contests were held on April 29-30, 2016 at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches.  We had a record number of 4-H’ers enter in the virtual fishing tournament, photography, food show, food challenge and taxidermy contests.
 
A special thank you to all our 4-H parent volunteers for making this an exceptional experience for the youth of Shelby County.  A special thank you to following project leaders:   Ms. Tasha Jones - photography, Ms. Shannon Menefee - food and nutrition, Ms. Anna Stuever - fashion, and Ms. Sheryl McGown – taxidermy, Mr. & Mrs. John Henry Holloway – shooting sports..

SHOTGUN GAMES RESULTS
The annual District 5 shotgun games were held at the Pines Gun Club in Lufkin on May 7, 2016.  Shooters competed in 5 events including skeet, trap, 5 stand, sporting clays and tower.  Results are as follows:
Junior Novice (1st year 3rd-5th grade)
Colby Lout- 1st skeet, 1st tower, 2nd trap and HOA Jr. Novice
