There is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms across Deep East Texas and portions of North Louisiana this afternoon.
Timing and Overview:
A lingering frontal boundary will trigger showers and thunderstorms across the region this afternoon. Some storms may become severe with hail being the primary threat and damaging winds a secondary threat. Widespread severe weather is not expected. Any storms that become severe are expected to be isolated.

Impacts: Aside from hail and damaging winds, locally heavy rainfall may be possible with some storms. However, even though widespread rainfall totals are not expected to exceed an inch and a half. However, we are in the area with the forecast totals in the higher rainfall totals as shown in the graphic below.
