Fun for Funds Auction Coming March 29th

Let the fun begin! Mark your calendar for the 2016 Fun for Funds event to be held March 29th from 6pm until 9pm! 

The auction includes unique items such as an antique Coca Cola Cooler, an autographed photograph of Nolan Ryan in a bloody Texas Ranger uniform, (2) tickets to Cotton Bowl Football, and so much more. The Cotton Bowl tickets were donated in memory of CHS teacher and tennis coach Doug Andrews.

The auction will be view-able online via a live webcast! The event will also be broadcast live on stations KQBB FM 100.5 and KDET AM 930 and on television via Suddenlink Cable Channel 2. Those wanting to bid can log onto www.funforfunds.org to register and participate in the live auction. Early bidding opens March 22nd.

Funds from the auction benefit the Catherine Pinkston Roughrider Scholarship Fund. Over the years, if you have ever participated in the Fun for Funds event, you have helped Rotary to raise over $1,000,000 for the Roughrider Scholarship Foundation (RSF). RSF has presented over 1,600 scholarships totaling over $1,000,000 to graduating CHS students and is funded by donations, not just from Rotary, but from the community. It has provided Center ISD students with a resource very few school systems have.

Rotary is seeking items to auction which will bring the highest possible dollar amount. If you do not have a unique item to auction, any and all monetary donations are greatly appreciated and will benefit the same fund. During the auction, monetary donations can be made in honor or memory of someone and the donation will be announced during the broadcast as well as online.
