Services for Richard “Rick” Kennon

Richard “Rick” Kennon, 58, of Center, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Nacogdoches 
 
Memorial Hospital.
 
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Clever Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry 
 
Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at Clever Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 
 
6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mangum Funeral Home. 
 
He was born July 25, 1957 in Center to Drue Edwin Kennon, Sr. and Edna Gay (Sigler) Kennon. He was a 
 
member of Clever Creek Baptist Church.  He graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1975. He was a 
 
market manager for Brookshire Brothers in Hemphill and he also was a butcher for Brookshire Brothers 
 
in Center.
 
He is preceded in death by his Father, Drue Edwin Kennon, Sr., Grandparents, Willie E. Kennon & Ibera 
 
“Doll” Stewart Kennon, Norman Nathaniel Sigler & Ola Gay (Howard) Sigler & Father-in-law & Mother-
 
in-law, A.C. & Emma Newman.
