NWS briefing 8-27

Nothing we did not already know other than Tropical Storm Erica that has formed out in the Atlantic over the Caribbean Islands will likely turn North like all the previous storms. Erica will begin to show some rain and wind impacts to Florida by late Sunday or Monday morning and generally is expected to follow the Eastern Coast line.

Here at home a High pressure system is sitting to our West and will give us nothing but sun and drying conditions.  Especially with the winds.  No rain is anticipated before Wednesday of next week when a LOW backs into our area again.  Nothing severe. Just isolated showers like last week. Temps will remain in the low 90's during the day and drop into very nice 60's during the evening hours.

Still expecting el Nino to reform and begin to kick up a fuss during our late fall and early winter season. Tom JohnsonKTXSANAU6
