8-25 view of 10 day weather

The next 10 days are forecast to be Sunny with mostly milder temps with highs in the low 90's and lows in the mid to upper 60's.  Yesterday the high was 81....81 degrees in August...did not hit that until the sun peaked out mid afternoon.  Last night was a chilly 64 degrees.  Here in San Augustine we did pick up 1.21 inches of much needed rain.  About the same in the Southern part of SA County.  A little less in our Northern region of the County.  Just north of Center picked up 3+ inches from a line of rain totals over 2.5+ inches from Marshall to Center.  We still have 5+ inches to go to get us out of the Drought conditions.  AND...NO...the burn ban will NOT be lifted until we get more rain!  The rain we did get will dry quickly with the Sun and windy conditions returning. Tom JohnsonKTXSANAU6
