Timpson woman indicted for providing contraband to Nacogdoches County Jail trusty

A Shelby County woman was indicted by a Nacogdoches Grand Jury recently, accused of helping a former Nacogdoches County jail trusty and his mother smuggle drugs into the Nacogdoches County Jail.

Thirty-five year old Misti Lynn Hogue of Timpson was indicted for engaging in organized criminal activity when she reportedly provided 34-year old David Nathan Lewis, Jr. with a cellphone, marijuana, pills and tobacco, which were found on the grounds of the Nacogdoches County Expo Center where several trustees had been doing work detail.

Video footage revealed Hogue and Lewis' mother, 60-year old Eva Lewis of Timpson provided the contraband. A jailer found tobacco products on Lewis when he returned from working at the expo.

Sheriff Jason Bridges says Hogue and Eva Lewis were charged with prohibited substance in a correctional facility, which was enhanced to engaging in criminal activity.
