Weather Update @ 3:15 a.m. Tuesday

Late afternoon pop up T-storms of short duration are possible with the heating of the day, but no real rain in the forecast until late in the day on Wednesday with a 50% chance of 1/10 of an inch?.... Then...nothing in the way of forecast rain until mid afternoon on Saturday with one of those Summer pop ups with maybe 1/3 to 1/2 inch if you are directly under the T-storm.  Isolated and widely scattered. After all it is the Summer Solstice.

Please Remember, if you can hear the thunder...there is most likely lightning. And lightning can strike up to 15 miles away from the storm!

Tuesday the 30th and Wednesday the 1st also have better chances for  just a little more moisture....maybe 1/2 inch. In between...Summer temps in low 90s due to the wet ground, but the humidity will make it feel much warmer. Not bad for almost July, huh? There is no safe place outside when thunderstorms are in the area. If you hear thunder, you are likely within striking distance of the storm. Just remember, When Thunder Roars, Go Indoors. Too many people wait far too long to get to a safe place when thunderstorms approach. Unfortunately, these delayed actions lead to many of the lightning deaths and injuries in the United States.
