Shelbyville man life-flighted following two-vehicle accident Saturday morning

A Shelbyville man was life-flighted to a Shreveport hospital following a two-vehicle accident in Huxley just before 9 a.m. Saturday morning.

DPS reports 63-year old Curtis Cooper was driving a trike motorcycle behind a Toyota Tacoma pickup, driven by 44-year old Max Robertson of Center on FM 2694, near the intersection with FM 3172, when Robertson attempted to make a u-turn at the bottom of a hill and Cooper was unable to stop in time, striking the pickup.

Cooper was thrown from the bike.

He was transported from the scene by ACE EMS to the Huxley Fire Dept. and life-flighted to a Shreveport hospital. Curtis Cooper’s condition is not known at this time.

DPS Trooper Anthony Lacount says Robertson was cited for turning when unsafe, he was not injured.
