Weather Update @ 6:30 a.m. Wednesday

Nowcast | as of 6:30 am CDT on June 17, 2015 a large band of showers and isolated thunderstorms extends from near Sulphur Springs...to Mineola...Lindale and Tyler... to Reklaw...Wells and Lufkin. Movement is to the north...northwest near 30 mph as the remnants of Bill continues to lift into Dallas and Fort Worth.

 

This band is training activity along the Highway 69 corridor. Rainfall amounts may approach an inch or two over the next couple of hours. Be cautious during this mornings commute and if water covers the Road...especially if it is moving water...turn around don't drown.

 

In addition...dangerous lightning is possible along with the heavy rain which may gust the winds to near 40 mph. Seek shelter is thunder roars.
