Suspects sought in break-in of downtown San Augustine business Sunday

The San Augustine Police Department is investigating the burglary of a downtown business, and attempted break-in at another that occurred late Sunday afternoon.

Entry was gained to Haley Furniture through a back door and suspects removed some $3,100 cash, two flat screen TVs and a washing machine.

Next door at Mike Perry Chevrolet a pad-lock was cut to a storage shed, but no reported missing items.

The TVs were described as two 55-inch DSI Smart TVs.

A description of the suspect’s vehicle was taken from a nearby surveillance. The video also indicates there were several individuals involved in the burglary.

San Augustine Chief of Police Gary Fountain tells us there are no known suspects in the incident.
