Applications continue to be taken for home repairs at Shelby County Outreach Ministries

Patsy Carl at Shelby County Outreach Ministries says they have exceeded the 15 original applications for the United Methodist ARMY's visit to Center July 20-24, but encourages those needing home repair to continue stopping by to make application.

She said each applicant will need to qualify; therefore a list will be needed.

She says no plumbing or electrical work can be done and the property owner must be the person making application and show proof of ownership.

Client referral forms can be filled out at Helping Hands Outreach Center at 930 Shelbyville Street in Center.

For further information contact Patsy Carl at 936-598-4990.

Members of the United Methodist Action Reachout Mission by Youth - or the UM ARMY - spend a week in a community doing home repairs for area elderly and disabled people.
