Funeral Notices: 06/16/15

Mangum Funeral Home announces service for 89-year old Dana Elizabeth (Cole) Lightsey of Center. She passed away Sunday at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler. Service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Center, with graveside service at 10 a.m. Thursday at Madisonville City Cemetery in Madisonville. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until service time at First Baptist Church. She worked for Dad & Lads in Center for many years. Among Dana Elizabeth (Cole) Lightsey’s survivors is a son, Mike & Mary Ann Lightsey of Crockett; daughter, Patricia Alford of Tyler; and sisters-in-laws, Ann Cole of Plano and Ann Lightsey of Lufkin.

 

Garrison Funeral Home announces service for 70-year old John Carroll Elliott of Pearland. He passed away Monday in Pearland. Service will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Garrison Funeral Home, with burial at Caledonia Cemetery, Rusk County. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. this evening at Garrison Funeral Home. Among John Carroll Elliott’s survivors is his wife, Annie Elizabeth Elliott of Pearland; sons, Michael Douglass & Michele Elliott of Alvin, Mary & Dee Elliott of Garrison and Richie Reading of Pearland; daughter, Karen & Keith Davis of Weatherford; sister, Lee Ruth & Doyle Weldon; and brother, Joe & Liz Elliott.

 

Community Funeral Home of Center announces service for 96-year old Mrs. Etta Mae White of the East Liberty Community. She passed away Friday at Nacogdoches Medical Center. Service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Triumph Church, with interment at Rather Cemetery in Shelbyville. Wake will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Community Funeral Home in Center. Among Etta Mae White’s survivors are daughters, Mae Ella & Willie Earl Moore of Center, Rose & Jessie McDaniel of Mansfield and Mae Alice & Charles Ray Walker of Center; a son Charles Ester & Nita White of Center.
