Tenaha’s Caraway named Offensive MVP of all-star game

Recent Tenaha graduate Cobe Caraway had 151 yards on 10 carries and rushed for two touchdowns, and was named the Offensive MVP of the Chick-fil-A Heart of a Champion Bowl played at Longview’s Lobo Stadium Saturday. Caraway helped lead the Blue squad to a 17-10 win over the Red in the annual game. Caraway broke a 10-10 tie with a 70-yard TD run with 30-seconds left to play. He also had an 81-yard TD run just before half. The game brings together talent from all over East Texas and is put together by the Northeast Texas Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

23^rd annual Darren Wilson Golf Classic set for June 20

The 23rd annual Darren Wilson Golf Classic will be held this Saturday, June 20th at the Center Country Club. The Classic will be played in a 6 person scramble format. The cost will be $80 per golfer which will include golf gift bag, lunch, greens fee and fellowship. Rental fee for carts is not included in the sign-up fee. You can sign up in the pro shop or on the window of the 19th hole. Prizes will be given for 1st and 2nd gross and handicap scores. There will also be a silent auctions held with lots of great prizes. Center Lady Rider Athletic camps set

The Center Lady Roughrider Athletic Program is hosting a Volleyball Camp on July 6th-9th from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM at the Center High School Gym. It is for Incoming 5th graders through 9th graders. The cost will be $20 for individuals or $35 for two children families. Pre-registration is from now until June 29th.

 

The Center Lady Roughrider Athletic Program is hosting a Basketball Camp on July 27th-30th from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM at the Center High School Gym. It is for Incoming 5th graders through 9th graders. The cost will be $20 for individuals or $35 for two children families. Pre-registration is from now until July 20th.
