The Center City Council will be meeting at 5 p.m. today and it will start with a Public Hearing for the proposed sidewalk construction under TxDOT’s Statewide Transportation Alternatives Program.

The proposed route would be sidewalks on MLK and walk/bike path on the northside of Roughrider Drive from Hurst to the new softball complex.

Among the regular meeting agenda items for discussion and possible action will be a resolution for nomination of the proposed sidewalk project for 2015 TxDOT Transportation Alternatives Program; and addendum to the airport lease, which allows for the installation of a septic system at the new hangar construction at Center Municipal Airport.

The council is also to make appointments to the Deep East Texas Council of Governments and the Center Housing Authority Board of Directors.
