The Center Roughrider Varsity Baseball team takes 6-2 win over the Carthage Bulldogs last night in a key Dist. 19-4A game. The Riders win the three-game season series, 2-1 and have pulled a half-game ahead of Carthage atop the district. The Riders are 9-2, while Carthage is 8-2 heading into the final week of district play. The Riders have a bye Tuesday before closing the season at home May 1 against Rusk, where it's Senior Night at Roughrider Field.

The non-district game scheduled today at Huffman Hargrave has been cancelled due to weather.
