The Board of Directors of the Deep East Texas Council of Governments (DETCOG) will hold their regular monthly meeting in Center today, Thursday.

Events will take place at Center United Pentecostal Church. 

A luncheon will be served at noon with the board meeting being held immediately following.

Welcoming members and guests to Shelby County will be County Judge Allison Harbison; Shelby County Treasurer Ann Blackwell; Center Mayor David Chadwick; Shelby County Commissioners Roscoe McSwain, Jimmy Lout, Travis Rodgers and Bradley Allen and Minority Representative, Baby Lou Gardner.

DETCOG’s President, Angelina County Judge, Wes Suiter, would like to extend an invitation to the meeting to all interested parties.
