Center Elementary Invites everyone to wear blue today, Friday, April 10th, in support of Child Abuse Prevention Month.

April was first declared Child Abuse Prevention Month by presidential proclamation in 1983. Since then, April has been a time to acknowledge the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse.

The Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center’s Butterfly Release will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday during the Bloomin’ on the Square event to bring awareness to the issue.
