Center Police were involved in a high-speed pursuit late Friday night that resulted in the arrest of three and recovery of a drug thrown from the vehicle.

According to scanner traffic the chase began on Loop 500 when the Chrysler 300 would not stop.

The pursuit ensued on County Road 2050 (Africa Road) where just before reaching Hwy. 87 south, was stopped with the use of road spikes.

The identity of those arrested have not been made available by Center PD.

Earlier Friday evening, Center Police conducted what’s described as a “street raid” on Mildred Street.

With the assistance of the department’s new K-9 officer “Taz”, a search was conducted for narcotics on a vehicle, house and yard.

It’s reported a substance thought to be PCP, along with marijuana and other drugs were discovered.
