The origin of fire that destroyed a mobile home on FM 414 Saturday night remains under investigation.

Center Fire Dept. says the blaze occurred on Brian Borders’ poultry farm property and the occupants of the home were not there when the fire was reported a little after 10 p.m.

The structure was located some six-miles off Hwy. 87 south in the Sardis Community.

Firemen said they were able to contain the blaze from spreading to other buildings on the property.

Shelbyville Volunteer Firemen assisted with water at the scene.
