Power Lifting:

 

The boys' state meet is this weekend in Abilene with several local lifters taking part.

Soccer:

 

The Center Rider Soccer team will play a first-round playoff game at 5:30 p.m. this evening against Mexia in Crockett.

Friday's schedule (Dist. record):

 

The Center Roughriders try to make it five wins in-a-row when they host the Rusk Eagles in a District 19-4A game tonight at Roughrider Field. The Riders are atop the district standings at 3-0, while Rusk is a game back at 2-1, tied with Carthage. Tonight's game also marks the end of the first round of three go-rounds of district.

 

Center (3-0) hosts Rusk (2-1)

 

The Shelbyville Dragons (1-3) baseball game has been moved to Saturday(tomorrow) @ 1:00 pm in Mt. Enterprise (0-4).

San Augustine (3-4) has a bye. The Wolves will play Broaddus at noon Saturday in San Augustine. This is a make-up game.

The Timpson Bears win the team championship at the Cushing meet Thursday, while the Timpson Lady Bears take third place.

Little Dribblers:

 

The Tenaha Little Dribblers Basketball program has two teams headed to the national tournament April 8-11th in Nacona, Texas. In order to help with lodging and food costs during the tournament, the parents are having a bake sale in front of the Tiger Stop this Saturday, March 28th.  The parents and kids would love for the community to come out and buy some cookies and cake to support their teams.  

 

Joaquin Athletic Boosters:

 

The Joaquin Athletic Booster Fundraiser $10,000 raffle will be held Monday, May 11 in conjunction with the high school athletic banquet. The tickets are $100 each for the drawing, with only 250 tickets sold. The drawing goes as follows: 1st ticket drawn-$5,000, 2nd-6th tickets-$1,000 each. A total of $10,000 will be given away. There will not be a meal included with the drawing. If you would like to attend the athletic banquet as well, tickets for the meal will be on sell at the high school office at a later date. Tickets can be purchased from any Joaquin Athletic Booster member or the administration office.
