LUFKIN – TxDOT crews have announced a lane closure on the U.S. 84 bridge between Joaquin and Logansport, La., that is expected during the next 48 hours.

Contracted bridge inspectors will be conducting the required inspection and TxDOT will oversee traffic movement during that time. The inspection is scheduled for Thursday or Friday, weather permitting.

Motorists should be aware of workers and/or flaggers who will direct traffic and they should be prepared to stop while vehicles are directed to travel through the single lane of traffic. A lead vehicle could be used during this time to guide traffic. Motorists should reduce speed, stay alert to traffic changes and obey all traffic commands.
