It's going to be the biggest gathering of healthcare providers the immediate area has seen as the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce's 8^th Annual Health and Fitness Fair is held tomorrow, Thursday, at the Windham Civic Center. The free event is presented by Cline Family Medicine and sponsored by Center Chiropractic and Nacogdoches Medical Center, with doors open from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  

Meg Camp is fair chairman, and says some 47 vendors will be providing health screenings which include glucose, cholesterol, spinal screenings, heart awareness, and vision. Information will be provided on home health, nursing homes, hospice, nutrition and caregiver relief.

She adds all health screenings are free except for mammograms, with financial assistance available. The deadline for making an appointment for a mammogram is today by calling 598-7744.

Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center will be on site as sign-up are being accepted by calling the chamber office.

Guest speakers include Dr. Dan Wilkins speaking on "stress management' at 10:30 a.m. and Wes Bynum of Hospice of East Texas on "caregiver care" at 12:30 p.m.
