Center High Power Lifters compete at state meet

On Friday and Saturday, March 20th and 21st, Center High School Senior Powerlifters, Rachel Andrews and Rylee Hudspeth traveled to Corpus Christie for the State Powerlifting Meet.

According to Coach Bryan Clay, "Rylee competed in the single most competitive weight class." Despite a few set backs, she still finished in the top 20 lifters in the state. Her teammate,
Rachel Andrews, took 5th place overall with lifts of 395 in squat, 155 in bench, and 340 in deadlift. Both of her maximum lifts in squat and deadlift were personal bests.

Coach Clay described Rachel's experience as "her best day ever." Not only did she come home with a 5th place medal, but she also was awarded a $1000 scholarship.

Congratulations to the Lady Rider Lifters on an amazing season!
