COMMISSIONERS’ COURT

Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing Body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 23 day of March, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:

 

 

1.      Approve and pay monthly expenses.

 

2.      Public Comments on Agenda items.

 

3.      Recognize the Certificate of Compliance from the Texas Commission on Jail Standards and commend the Sheriff, Jail Administrator, and employees working in the jail.

 

4.      Approve the reimbursement of utility bills to Mike Crouch, Justice of the Peace, Precinct 5.

 

5.      Discuss and possibly take actions on the purchase and placement of an office for Precinct 5, Justice of the Peace.

 

6.      Authorize the payment of utilities for the present office of Justice of the Peace, Precinct 5.

 

7.      Discuss and possibly take action on Sheriff Blackwell’s request for a new automobile for the Sheriff Department.

 

8.      Appoint Allison Harbison and David Chadwick to the Deep East Texas Rural Transportation Planning Organization.

 

9.      Appoint Florencio Singson M.D. as the Local Health Authority for Shelby County.

 

10.  Don and Tina McGuffin to address the court regarding resuming the maintenance on a portion of CR 4670.

 

11.  Take action to recognize Income Received from Sale of Seized Vehicles and adjust the Constable #4 Forfeiture budget for increase in income and Proposed Expenses in the amount of $1,655.00.

 

12.  Discuss and possibly take action on allowing Tri County to use the gym and assume responsibility for utility payments and liability insurance.

 

13.  Discuss and possibly take action on rental of old Elementary School gym to Denetra Slaughter and Celia Aguilar for one year.

 

14.  Discuss and possibly take action on Ann Blackwell’s request for funding to have a dividing wall placed in the Treasurer’s office.

 

15.  Adjourn.
