Weather Update: Next Rain Event to start by mid-afternoon

A second cold front has developed out West in Arizona and New Mexico and is pushing ever so slowly toward the East.  If you look closely at the graphic, you can see the temperatures are about 20 degrees cooler on the North side and along the frontal boundary.  It's along that line where the heavier rain and T-storms will continue to form during this storm.

- Rain here in Deep East Texas is now forecast to begin mid afternoon on Friday and continue through Sunday evening late.  We can still expect to see 2 1/2 to 3 inches of rain from this event in our area.  RAIN: 1/2 inch tomorrow...2 inches Saturday with steady rain all day...Sunday another 1/2 inch before the storm moves out of the area.

   - No strong winds or hail of any significance is anticipated for our area.  Just a few T-storms and most of those will be along the convergence line to our North.
   - Flooding will be an issue as our ground is saturated.

   - Our temperatures will stay in the 70's for highs and low 60's for lows.
   - Monday through Wednesday plenty of SUN and 80's??
