Golf:

 

The Center Roughrider Golf Team played in the tournament at Neches Pines in Diboll yesterday placing fourth overall. Helping lead the charge was junior Rider Beau Buster Byrnes who had a hole-in-one and finished as first medalist.

 

Baseball:

 

The Center Roughriders will try to improve their Dist. 19-4A record to 2-0 when they host Henderson tonight. JV action begins at 4:30 p.m.

 

Last night, in the district opener, finally after several weather cancellations, the Timpson Bears take a 5-4 extra inning win over the Shelbyville Dragons in Timpson.

 

The Tenaha Tigers will be at the Timpson Bears today.

 

The Shelbyville Dragons travel to state-ranked Beckville today.

 

The Joaquin Rams got their first district game in the books a few days late as they grab a 10-7 win over Mt. Enterprise. The Rams and hosts Martinsville today.

 

The San Augustine Wolves host Colmesneil Tuesday.

 

The Garrison Bulldogs go to Central Tuesday.

 

The Broaddus Bulldogs host Zavalla Tuesday.

 

Softball:

 

The Center Lady Riders are scheduled to host Jasper tonight. District starts Friday at Tatum.

 

The Joaquin Lady Rams get a run-rule 16-1 win Mt. Enterprise in three innings yesterday to improve to 2-0. They will go to Douglass today, and play a make-up game at wells Wednesday, weather permitting.

 

The Shelbyville Lady Dragons win in dramatic form, 5-4 over the Chireno Lady Owls Monday. Shelbyville scored two run in the bottom of the 7^th to tie and take the win. Shelbville will host Martinsville today.

 

The Timpson Lady Bears’ game with Gary was cancelled Monday. Timpson plays in Alto at 4:30 p.m. today.

 

The Garrison Lady Bulldogs head to Central Tuesday.

 

 

College Hoops:

 

Thursday's SFA Lumberjacks Men's Basketball against Utah will be televised at 6:27 pm central time on TruTv. TruTv channels are: 149 on Dish 246 on DirecTV.

 

We received word last night that the Shelby County Ducks Unlimited Green Wing event scheduled for Saturday, March 21 has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for another day. Due to wet conditions and more rain expected, the Shelby County Ducks Unlimited Green Wing event that was suppose to take place Saturday will be rescheduled. We’ll have more information on when organizers plan to have that event.

 

The San Augustine County Ducks Unlimited Banquet to be held Saturday, March 21 at the San Augustine County Fair Grounds' Show Barn.
