Taylor Funeral Home in Timpson announces service for 74-year old Freeda Carlile Allen of Timpson. Service will be at 2 p.m. this afternoon at Corinth Missionary Baptist Church, Timpson, with interment at Corinth Cemetery. She was a 1959 graduate of Timpson High School. Among Freeda Carlile Allen’s survivors is her husband, Shirley Ray Allen of Timpson; sons, Chris & Angela Carlile of Houston and Kent Carlile of Timpson; daughters, Robin Carlisle Parks and April Carlisle Harris, both of Timpson; brother, John Ricks Eberlan of Timpson; and sister, Celeste Jones of Pasadena.

 

Garrison Funeral Home announces service for 84-year old Gussie “Sally” Bird of Center. Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Garrison Funeral Home, with interment at Caledonia Cemetery, Rusk County. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 2 p.m. before service.

 

Garrison Funeral Home announces a memorial service for 79-year old Lola Jordan Harris of Garrison. A memorial graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mount Union Freewill Baptist Church in Garrison, with interment at Helpenstell Cemetery in Nacogdoches County.

 

Downs Funeral Home of Marshall announces a memorial service will be held for 64-year old Don L. Pinkston of Waskom. Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. A time of visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Downs Funeral Home in Marshall. Don Pinkston was raised in Center.

 

Hicks Mortuary of Center announces service for 57-year old Donny Ray Lathan of Tenaha. Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church in Center, with burial at Bennett Chapel Cemetery in Shelbyville. Repass will be at St. Paul Baptist Church in Center.

 

Garner & Son Mortuary of San Augustine announces service for 48-year old Mrs. Stephanie Lane Miller of Lufkin, formerly of San Augustine. Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at True Vine Baptist Church, with interment at Lane Town Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. today at Garner & Son Chapel.

 

Garner & Son Mortuary announces pending service for 65-year old Donald R. Cook of Geneva. He passed away Tuesday at Parkwood Place in Lufkin.

 

A memorial service will be held in Stockbridge, Ga. on March 22 for Roger Guyton “Guy” Hopkins, formerly of Center. He passed away Wednesday after a long illness. His ashes will be buried with his parents at a graveside service in July at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. Among Guy Hopkins’ survivors is a brother, Teddy Hopkins of Center; wife, Becky; children, Rachael Gabrielle Hopkins, Rebekah Michelle Hopkins & Michael Frederick, and Benjamin Raphael & Paige Hopkins. Guy Hopkins was a 1965 Center High School graduate.
