Weather Update @ 7:45 a.m.

T-showers are producing moderate rain at times, but the cloud tops are only in the 11,000 to 16,000 foot range and are not severe in nature.

Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms continue to advance 

northward across the region. The heaviest rainfall will occur from the East 

Texas lakes region...north into Shreveport and Bossier City. Amounts in the 

strongest convection will range from one quarter to one half inch through 8
 
am this morning.  The full advisory will be issued at 10 am. This rain will 

contribute to the flooding already being experienced in some areas as you 

can see on the radar.
