Rising water on the Sabine River has cancelled plans for the 8th annual Logansport Chamber of Commerce Sand Bass Tournament that was to be held Saturday.

Organizers say because of flooding in the headwaters of the Sabine River and the high water is to reach Logansport by the end of the week, safety requires that the event be cancelled.

The Logansport Chamber of Commerce says they will be refunding all entry fees.
