The Healthcare committee of the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce invites the public to the 8^th Annual Health and Fitness Fair.  The fair is presented by, Cline Family Medical, and sponsored by Center Chiropractic and Nacogdoches Medical Center.  The Health and Fitness Fair is slated for Thursday, March 26 at the Windham Civic Center from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be over 40 vendors with screenings and health related information at the free event.

The Health and Fitness Fair’s purpose is to educate Shelby County and the surrounding areas about health care resources available in the area and about their personal health.  There will be a variety of health screenings available including glucose, cholesterol, bone density, spinal screenings, heart awareness and vision.  

In addition, a mobile mammogram unit will be at the fair.  All mammogram appointments must be made prior to March 23 by calling Daphne at 936-598-7744.  There is a charge for the mammograms and financial assistance is available. Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center will be on site with a blood mobile taking donations, to sign up to donate please contact Shelby County Chamber of Commerce at 936-598-3682.

This year the fair will feature two guest speakers.  Dr. Dan Wilkins, Wilkins Counseling, will speak on “Stress Management” and Wes Bynum, Hospice of East Texas, will have a presentation on “Caregiver Care”.
