News Headlines

Weather status as of 1:30 p.m.

Currently, we are in overcast skies with no rain from Nacogdoches to San Augustine to Shreveport and back down to Houston.  The system is making its move to the North and East as expected and the rain has diminished just like here in the Brownsville/Rio Grande valley areas as it moves North out of Mexico.

There is still lots of light to moderate rain to our West in Central Texas.  It is a toss up as to whether it will pass to the West and North as it exits the State of Texas....OR...will the Highpressure systems forming to our North and West   push the rain more East into our area this afternoon and evening.  Either way by 1 am tomorrow morning we should have cleared the rain, have overcast skies ,and a high temperature tomorrow in the mid 60's....maybe even some sunshine. Expect 70's and sun by Thursday and through the remainder of the week. Still waiting on the NWS to issue an official update.....to early to call they say.

As of now, I have .68 inches of rain in my gauges for today...1.34 inches for the storm...1.87 inches for the month and a total of 11.20 inches for the year.
