Shelby County Commissioners' Court to hold meeting this morning

The Shelby County Commissioners' Court will meet at 9:30 a.m. this morning and among the agenda items for discussion and possible action are authorizing for utilities for Constable Pct. 4 Bryan Gray and JP Pct. 4 Jenny Hicks to be split between their budgets, and accept or reject bids on five vehicles seized by constable pct. 4.

 

In addition, commissioners will discuss taking action on the purchase of a two-way radio for JP Pct. 5 Michael Crouch, and authorizing payment of utilities for his office in Timpson.

 

There will also discussion and possible action on the distribution of the Child Safety Fee Fun; contributing $6,000 to the Shelby Soil and Water Conservation District; and a proclamation recognizing National Service Recognition Day.

 

TxDOT will also be making a request to close FM 415 at Bear Bayou for approximately four months for new bridge construction. The bridge is located in the Silas Community, midway between Hwy. 87 and FM 138.

 

The court may also take action on the purchase of right-of-way in Pct. 1 from Hancock Forest Management for TxDOT bridge project. Clarifying motion regarding public comment is also on today's agenda.
