Shelby County Livestock Show starts at 10 a.m. this morning, premium sale Saturday evening

4H & FFA students from across Shelby County will be showing their animal projects during the annual Shelby County Livestock Show & Sale being held today and Saturday.

The show begins at 10 a.m. this morning at the Shelby County Expo Center with the BBQ and premium sale set for Saturday evening at the Windham Civic Center.

County Extension Agent Lane Dunn encourages you to come out and support the youngsters.

He says there’s been lots of growth over the years. The kids have worked hard, a lot for over a year on their projects. He added it’s a great project with citizenship, leadership and responsibility that’s built into the kids by raising the projects.

Dunn reminds you its not too late to become involved in the sale.

You’re invited to come on out to the BBQ staring at 6 p.m. and bid at the sale, or advise him if you would like to contribute as part of a pool and be used to support the kids.

If you would like to contribute without attending, just contact his office at 598-7744.
