Woman reported to be lost found unharmed after all-morning search

Law enforcement officials have located a woman they were searching for since around 6 this morning that called 9-1-1 saying she had slid off the roadway somewhere in the Lake Pinkston area.

After almost 6 hours of searching by law enforcement, by vehicle, foot and even a DPS helicopter, the unidentified individual was found at 11:30 this morning by a Texas Parks and Wildlife game warden, cold and unharmed.

Sheriff Willis Blackwell told Center Broadcasting mid-morning they were unsure where she was, but had focused the search in the Snow Hill area off CR 1170.

He said dispatchers had been on the phone with her on and off, "binged" her cell, but were not able to pinpoint a particular area.

The woman had been in sub-freezing temperatures apparently most of the night and all morning.

Sheriff Blackwell would not specify, but said she may involved in a case they're currently working on.

We'll have more information as it becomes available.
