Woman struck by vehicle on Tenaha Street last night, condition unknown

Details are unknown but a woman was struck by a vehicle on Tenaha Street around 7 p.m. last night near the Dollar General Store.

 

It’s reported to us the driver of a Ford Explorer could not avoid hitting the pedestrian, who was said to have ran out into the roadway in front of the vehicle.

 

The woman, who was found laying in the middle of the roadway, was transported by ACE EMS to Center Emergency Department and her condition’s not known, although scanner traffic indicated it was critical.

 

The Center Fire Department assisted with traffic control. We’ll have more information as it becomes available from law enforcement.
