San Augustine's February Weather Stats

San Augustine official weather observer Tom Johnson has released the February weather stats and the month closed out with a below normal rain amount. He says 1.87 inches of rain was received, which places San Augustine right at the normal Jan/Feb. rainfall amount. So far, 9.23 inches has been recorded for the year.

As for temperatures, the high for February was 77 degrees on Feb. 9, with the low 27 degrees on Feb. 24.

As for pollen, Johnson says the count was comprised of Cedar, Juniper, grasses, weeds and all the rainy warm weather brought back mold. He said we are already at a 3.6 out of 12 index level, primarily due to the rain and a mean temperature of 47 degrees. He said pollen continues to cause respiratory issues at high rates in San Augustine County.
