Shelby County Memorial Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8904 and the Ladies Auxiliary will remember the service and sacrifice of those Americans who participated in "Desert Storm" with a memorial wreath laying at the Veterans Memorial on the grounds of the Historic Courthouse in Center at 10 a.m. this morning.

When the war ended on February 28th, 1991, 148 Americans had died in battle.  There were another 145 non-battle deaths and 467 wounded.

All Desert Storm veterans are invited as the guest(s) of honor.
