Mildred Lee Eaves Pierce 84, of Nacogdoches on Friday, February 27, 2015 at Laird Funeral Home at 12:00PM with Rev. Larry Byrd officiating.  Burial will follow at Spann Chapel Cemetery in Center, Texas.  She passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015. She was a longtime resident of Shelby County.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 5:00-7:00PM at Laird Funeral Home, Nacogdoches Texas. 

Mildred was born in Center, Texas to William Carl Eaves and Jeneva Harlow Satterwhite on March 29, 1930.  She grew up in Center.  She moved to Nacogdoches after she married her husband, Edwin Leon Pierce on November 28, 1967 in Shreveport, LA.  They met each other while she worked as a waitress in a family restaurant in San Augustine.  Mildred loved her family dearly.  She enjoyed spending time with them and especially her beautiful grandchildren.  She also enjoyed fishing, and working out in her garden.  She was a member of Spanns Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.  Her favorite scripture was the 23rd Psalm.
