Tigers Advance with Road Playoff Win
Tigers Ice Cushing despite Icy Shooting Night

After a near hour delay due to confusion over the assignment of game
officials, the 2015 playoffs tipped off in Cushing last night for the Tenaha
Tigers.  The Tigers played well early, but were plagued by a metaphorical
“lid” on the basket as several lay-up and short shot attempts rimmed out
allowing the Bearkats to keep things close until halftime.  But, with a
29-24 halftime lead, the Tigers regrouped and managed to put together a
48-22 second half effort on their way to a 77-46 win in the Bi-District
playoffs.  On to Area now where the Tigers will play San Augustine.

Tigers vs. San Augustine in Area Championship Details:

If the Lady Tigers win tonight-    Tenaha vs. San Augustine in Joaquin
Thursday

If the Lady Tigers lose tonight-  Tenaha vs. San Augustine in Joaquin Friday

Stay tuned to the Tiger Daily for game time as the game may or may not be
paired for a double header.

Tiger Nation!!!!! Let’s Get the Ladies Back to Regionals!!!

No longer can the Lady Tigers play “young”.  With a roster full of youth,
Garry Davison will make the trip down to Lufkin tonight to take on
state-ranked power Evadale with a trip to the Regional Tournament on the
line.  Game time is 6:15 PM at Lufkin MS Gym (Denman Road Address).  Let’s
get maroon and get down to Lufkin to pull the Lady Tigers along to their 2nd
straight Regional Tournament berth!!!

The Tenaha first graders celebrated the 100th day of school on February 6th.
They sent out balloons with celebration letters inside and ask the finder to
send it back when found.

To date, the farthest away a balloon has traveled is 175 miles South of
Alexandria, Louisiana in a town named Bunkie. The students were very excited
when we looked it up on the map. Kasey Phillips

When I Grow Up I Want To Be A......

Kindergarten has been learning about the different types of jobs people
have. We have also discussed why people have jobs and how they help their
community. Each child chose a career they would like when they grow up. We
had a wide variety of jobs! There are some future doctors, dentist,
teachers, veterinarian, race car drivers, and even a paleontologist.
