A Tenaha man lost his life in a two-vehicle accident near Center on U.S. Hwy. 96 north during rain Saturday evening.
DPS Communications Lufkin says that 23-year old Daurin Chel Sanchez was southbound in a Ford Mustang when he reportedly hydroplaned, went across the center stripe and collided with a northbound Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by 19-year old Eduardo Perez of Center.
The accident took place about six miles north of Center at 6:40 p.m.
Sanchez was pronounced dead at Center Emergency Department. Perez is listed in stable condition.
The accident was investigated by DPS Trooper Jade Lavergne.
