The San Augustine County Chamber of Commerce will kick-off their first “Let’s Get Fit” Challenge for San Augustine County next Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 5:30 p.m. at The Body Shop.

According to organizers, the goal is to promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle for San Augustine County. Wellness Challenges have been proven effective to make individuals aware of the small steps that can help achieve a healthier lifestyle.

The 3-month challenge will being March 1 and end May 31. Lou Ann Mill at The Body Shop, 124 E. Columbia St. in San Augustine, has volunteered to be the weigh-in headquarters.

Each contestant must submit an application along with a $15 fee by Feb. 24.

All personal and weight information will be kept private.

There will be awards and drawings for those that excel at weight loss. F
