Investigation continues into infant's death, autopsy results pending

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigations’ Division continues to investigate the death of a female infant found non-responsive at a home on County Road 4356 early Monday morning.

 

The child has been identified as 6-month old Ariana Moore.

 

Sheriff Willis Blackwell told us Monday a 9-1-1 call came into the sheriff’s office just before 4 a.m. from the child’s parent’s residence in the Kyle Parmer Trailer Park, located off Hwy. 96 north near Tenaha.

 

Sheriff Blackwell said ACE EMS and sheriff’s department deputies and investigators responded and the child was taken to Center Emergency Department where she was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace Pct. 1 Maxie Eaves.

 

An autopsy was ordered and results to determine the cause of death are pending.

 

The infant’s parents are William & Angela Moore.

 

Funeral service for Ariana Moore is pending at Mangum Funeral Home in Center.
