Panola College Presents the Powerful Drama, The Exonerated


Panola College Drama presents *The Exonerated *by Jessica Lank and Erik
Jenson, a powerful drama of true stories regarding six death row inmates
who were cleared of their crimes after spending years on death row on
Thursday, February 19 at 6 p.m. (this performance features a talk back with
the cast and crew following the show), Friday, February 20 and Saturday,
February 21 at 7 p.m.   This production is also Panola College’s 2015
TCCSTA Play Fest entry and will be performed at LSC-Kingwood on February
27, 2015.

The play is based on the real life stories of six people wrongly convicted
of murder and sentenced to death row: Gary Gauger, played by Avery Tindol,
sophomore, Center; Robert Hayes, played by Carnelius Lewis, sophomore,
Carthage; Kerry Cook, Jonah Murphy, freshman, West Hardin; David Keaton,
Darian Upshaw, freshman, Cushing; Sunny Jacobs, Ericka McBurney, freshman,
Houston; and Delbert Tibbs, Kyree Wililams, sophomore, Hillsboro.  Also in
the cast are Skylar Gafford, freshman, Blue Ridge as Sue Gauger; Carenza
Johnson, freshman, Alto as Georgia Hayes; and Mackenzie Piar, freshman,
Hillsboro as Sandra Cook.  The ensemble features Dewey Brannan, freshman,
Hillsboro; Laura Fryman, freshman, Mt. Enterprise; Mariah Fulbright,
sophomore, Center; Christin Lindgren, sophomore, Timpson; Tracer Lynch,
freshman, Blue Ridge; Matthew Odom, sophomore, Gary; Madilyn Sanford,
freshman, Timpson, and Alexander Willett, freshman, Marshall.

Assistant Director is Mariah Fulbright, Center; Stage Manager, Ben Charrez,
Hillsboro; Set Design, Kaycee Ricketson, Center; Costume and Set Design,
Keelan Moses, Huntington; Lighting Design, Alex Dutton, Shelbyville; Sound
Design, Alfy Lindsey, Center; Projection Design, Ethan Xieu, Center;
Make-up and Hair, Nicole Cassell, Hillsboro.  Set construction and shadow
play manager, Dewey Brannan, Hillsboro.

Cost is $10 for the general public and free with ID Card for Panola College
Faculty, Staff, and Students.  This production contains language or images
which may be disturbing for some.  No children under ten will be admitted
