NWS 7-Day forecast for Deep East Texas

Today..High pressure is moving in to the area this morning  and will keep us sunny but cooler than yesterday. Clear skies will allow temps to fall fast during the evening hours.


Friday..Clear with lots of sunshine..hi of 60-61 degrees. Low 40's for lows.
Saturday..clear skies will allow our temps to return into the mid 70's. cooling quickly after sunset to the mid 40's. 


Sunday..Another front with clouds will keep our hi's in the low 60's and upper 50's. Lows in the 40's.


Monday...A strong Arctic Air system moving toward us will likely bring us our coldest air of 2015.


Tuesday..A direct rain to snow transition is expected for the northern most areas of Deep East Texas into ARK, OK, & LA, but no ice mix.  With the warm ground, no accumulation of snow is anticipated. That said, with the extreme lows, we could see some problems with bridges and overpasses. Close pressure gradients are already being seen and we will see strong Northerly wind gusts. 1-2 inches of rain is expected over the Monday-Tuesday time period. Lows will fall into low 20's on Tuesday evening.
 

Wednesday...High of 44 with a low into the low 20's once again with partly cloudy skies.
 

Thursday..Clear, sunny, cold with a hi in low 50's low around freezing.
