Caution urged with outdoor burning as spring-like weather sees increase in yard clean-up

The beautiful, warmer weather probably has you outdoors working around your place picking up limbs, branches and raking leaves which is likely leading to burning of that debris.

Keep in mind grass and pastures are dead, the wind has been up and we sometimes walk-away from those fires, nothing worse than letting a blaze get away, especially if it gets into a neighbor's property, and worst case, ignites a structure or other property.

Be responsible with your outdoor burning, keep a good water supply nearby and stay with a fire.

Area volunteer firemen have been called out numerous times over the past few days.
