Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, with interment in the Hebron Cemetery in San Augustine County. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. this evening at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home.

 

Community Funeral Home of Center announces pending service for 70-year old Mrs. Helen Leonard of Nacogdoches and Tenaha. She passed away Monday at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital.

 

Community Funeral Home of Timpson announces pending service for 67-year old Mrs. Coretha Taylor of the Antioch Community in Timpson. She passed away Monday at her home.

 

Melancon Funeral Home of Nederland announces service for 73-year old Ray Byrd of Nederland. He passed away Tuesday at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston. He was born in Shelbyville and worked as assistant chief appraiser for the Jefferson County Appraisal District. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Melancon’s Funeral Home, with a Masonic Service at 6 p.m. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Reynolds Cemetery in Shelbyville. Among Ray Byrd’s survivors is his wife, Frances Byrd of Nederland; son, Marty & Sheila Byrd of Nederland; brother, James & JoAnn Byrd of Nederland; and sister, Marie Fleming of Shelbyville.
